High School Senior Charged With Rape

A White Plains teenager was arrested yesterday after a female acquaintance accused him of raping her in an empty classroom at their Charles County high school, authorities said.

Anthony Hansley, 18, was charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault and was ordered held on $150,000 bond, authorities said. Hansley, a senior at Henry E. Lackey High School in Indian Head, is accused of raping a 16-year-old junior about two hours after school let out Wednesday, authorities said.

Hansley, a basketball player at Lackey, was waiting at the school for a ride to his game at Chopticon High School, authorities said. The junior was there for a different after-school activity, authorities said...

Army cadet faces sexual assault court-martial

A U.S. Military Academy cadet accused of sexual assault faces a court-martial Monday.

Cadet Adam McMurray, a sophomore who played linebacker for Army football, was charged in October with three counts of assault, three counts of wrongful sexual conduct, one count of burglary and one count of drunk and disorderly conduct.

McMurray, of Davison, Mich., is accused of entering the barracks room of three female cadets in his cadet company while intoxicated. The Army has not released any other details of incident...

Leilehua Running Back Indicted On Sex Assault Charges

Leilehua High School running back Rico Newman was indicted Thursday on charges of first degree sexual assault on his girlfriend.

Newman’s girlfriend -- the mother of his 2-year-old son -- reported to police that she was assaulted after Newman saw what he thought was a “hickie” on her neck.

She said that he slapped and punched her face before sexually assaulting her...

Hoops star to face sexual assault charges

Former Bonackers basketball star Michael Russell will face sexual assault charges in New Hampshire after he is freed from a Suffolk County jail later this year.

Mr. Russell, who was sentenced January 20 to one year in jail for two burglaries in East Hampton last summer, has already served three months of his sentence. His attorney here hopes that he will be released within eight months.

But, once released, he will have to answer to charges of aggravated sexual assault and criminal threatening, both felonies, after he being charged with assaulting a woman, holding a knife to her face and forcing her to have sex with him...

Zendejas attorneys fail in effort to dismiss rape charges

A judge Friday denied a defense motion to dismiss two rape charges against former NFL placekicker Tony Zendejas.

Zendejas' attorneys argued in Pomona Superior Court there wasn't enough evidence presented at October's preliminary hearing for the former Los Angeles Ram to be held to answer on charges related to Zendejas' alleged drugging of the woman he is accused of raping.

Prosecutors said Zendejas, an NFL placekicker from 1985 to 1995, drugged a woman in January 2008 at the restaurant he owns in San Dimas - Zendejas Mexican Restaurant - then raped and sodomized her at a nearby motel while she was incapacitated...More Here...
