Macon man pleads guilty in gang rape, beating of woman

A 26-year-old Macon man has been sentenced to serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to rape, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s office.

Terry Sherrod Jackson also must serve five years on probation, said Assistant District Attorney Dorothy Hull.

Woman denies false gang-rape claim

A judge has asked police to disclose their grounds for charging a Christchurch woman with making a false gang-rape complaint, when he considers her application for continued name suppression on Thursday.

The woman maintains that the gang-rape did occur and entered a not guilty plea to the false complaint charge in Christchurch District Court today.
