Sexual Assault suspect being held with no bond

This morning sexual assault suspect Jonathon Brown was in first appearance. Brown is being held with no bond. He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in broad daylight.

"For somebody to be attacked out in the open, people walking by all the time, something's definitely wrong there," said an eye doctor who works in that plaza, Clyde Chapman.

According to Delray Beach Police, 41-year old Jonathan Brown had followed a 69-year old woman into that breezeway at the Delray Crossing Plaza along Linton Boulevard. Police say Brown grabbed the victim from behind, threw her to the ground and started sexually assaulting her between two columns there. This all happened at around 10:00 in the morning...

Teen boy arrested in sexual abuse of 2-year-old girl

Hernando County sheriff's deputies have arrested a 15-year-old Spring Hill boy on a count of sexual battery involving a 2-year-old girl.

The teen, who is not being identified because he is a juvenile, is accused of intentionally touching the victim in the genital area on Nov. 28 at her Citrus County home, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.

The girl's mother told deputies that she rushed downstairs after hearing her daughter scream, finding that the teen was sitting on the floor with the girl...

In a recorded conversation with his own mother, the boy said that if he was arrested, he would kill the victim's mother as soon as he was released from jail....

Detective accused of fondling a girl

A nine-year veteran of the Murray police department was charged Tuesday with one count of first-degree felony aggravated sexual abuse of a child for allegedly fondling a girl.

West Valley City police arrested Murray detective Michael D. Spilman, 35, after a 17-year-old girl alleged he fondled her, over and under her clothes, on several occasions between March 2004 and Jan. 8, 2008, court documents state. The alleged sexual abuse occurred at Spilman's home in Salt Lake County...

Macon man pleads guilty in gang rape, beating of woman

A 26-year-old Macon man has been sentenced to serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to rape, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s office.

Terry Sherrod Jackson also must serve five years on probation, said Assistant District Attorney Dorothy Hull.

Jackson and two other men -- 34-year-old James Harris and 41-year-old Wendell Simmons -- brutally raped a 53-year-old Macon woman on June 10, 2005...
