Capital murder charged
An Albertville man has been charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of his wife and her unborn child.
Judge Liles Burke denied bond to Jessie Livell Phillips, 29, of 1000 Baltimore Ave., Apartment 36, whom authorities say admitted to the shooting at a Guntersville car wash Friday afternoon.
In what is said to have been a domestic issue, Phillips allegedly shot Erica Phillips, 23, in the head with a pistol while she was parked at the Lakeside Car Wash on Alabama 69 in Guntersville.
The shooting is said to have taken place in front of her two young children and her younger brother at the carwash.
Phillips allegedly fled the scene in a black sport utility vehicle belonging to his stepmother.

As an unmarked Albertville police unit approached Phillips, he reportedly pulled the SUV over to a parking space alongside the Albertville police station and surrendered, without
