Child abuse charges filed

The blackened eye of a 2-month-old isn't something you see everyday.

So when a Fredericksburg police officer saw the small boy while responding to a different call at a Fredericksburg business, he became suspicious and took the child to the hospital.

Yesterday, a Caroline County man was arraigned on charges of child abuse.
