Pr. William Man Arrested in Shooting of Wife, Children

A Prince William County man was arrested overnight and charged with fatally shooting his wife and her two teenage children, police said.

Carrillo Dean, 44, works for the county as a park ranger, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, a Prince William County police spokeswoman. Dean was at home in the 18000 block of Cedar Drive in Triangle when police arrived to investigate the 10:45 p.m. triple shooting.

Chinn said police found 13-year-old Connor Kirk and 14-year-old Brittany Kirk in their bedrooms, and Elizabeth Dean, 45, in a different part of the house. All three had been shot, Chinn said. Connor Kirk and Elizabeth Dean died at the scene of the shooting, while Brittany Kirk was flown to a local hospital for treatment and died at 3:20 a.m...
