Man faces 10 felony charges after reported assault

A 22-year-old Mt. Pleasant man is facing several felony charges following an incident earlier this week at an East Bellows Street apartment.

Darren Paul Martin is accused of trying to rape a female friend who went to his apartment at Park Place to offer aid when friends said he was “acting weird,” assaulting police who were called to the scene and trying to flee officers after he was handcuffed.
